1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the KidShield Parent App, KidShield Kid App, or any related service at kidshield.help (collectively, the "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy, incorporated herein by reference.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. If you are using the Services on behalf of a minor, you represent that you are their parent or legal guardian.

2. Description of Services
KidShield provides a parental monitoring and control platform for Android devices, including:
- Screen time management and daily usage limits per app
- App blocking and allowlisting on the child's device
- Real-time GPS location tracking and safe-zone geofencing
- On-device VPN-based web content filtering (no traffic sent to our servers)
- Push notifications and activity reports delivered to the Parent App
- Tamper protection preventing unauthorized removal of the child app
Features may be updated, modified, or discontinued at any time with or without notice.
3. Account Registration
To use KidShield, you must create a parent account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
- Maintain the security of your account password and not share it
- Promptly notify us of any unauthorized account use at support@kidshield.help
- Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
4. Permitted Use & Restrictions
Permitted Use
KidShield is designed exclusively for parents and legal guardians to monitor and protect their own minor children's devices for lawful parental supervision purposes.
Prohibited — You Must Not:
- Install the child app on a device belonging to an adult without their explicit consent
- Use KidShield for commercial surveillance, stalking, or harassment
- Circumvent, hack, or reverse-engineer any part of the Services
- Distribute or resell the Services without written authorization
- Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
- Upload malware or code intended to disrupt the Services
5. Device Permissions & Consent
- Permissions are used solely for the parental control features described in the app
- You are the legal parent or guardian of the child whose device you are configuring
- You have legal authority to install monitoring software on the child's device in your jurisdiction
- Location tracking is only active when explicitly granted by you
- The local VPN permission does not route any traffic through KidShield's servers
6. Subscriptions & Payments
- All purchases are processed securely through Google Play or our authorized payment provider
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date
- Refunds are handled per Google Play's refund policy; for direct purchases, contact us within 14 days
- Prices may change with 30 days' notice to active subscribers
- Free trials convert to paid subscriptions unless cancelled before the trial ends
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, KidShield provides the Services "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, including guarantees of uninterrupted service, 100% accuracy in content filtering, or that all harmful content will be blocked in every scenario.
KidShield is a tool to assist parents — it is not a substitute for direct parental supervision and open communication with your child.
8. Limitation of Liability
KidShield and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to KidShield in the 12 months preceding the claim, or USD $100, whichever is greater.
9. Intellectual Property
- You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Services
- You may not reverse-engineer or attempt to extract source code from our apps
- The KidShield name, shield logo, and app design are trademarks of Kid Shield
10. Termination
- You: Delete your account via Parent App → Settings → Account → Delete Account
- KidShield: We may suspend or ban accounts that violate these Terms without prior notice
Sections 7, 8, and 9 survive termination of this agreement.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by applicable law. Disputes shall first be attempted through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration or courts of competent jurisdiction.
12. Changes to Terms
We may revise these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via the Parent App and/or email. Your continued use after changes constitutes your acceptance.
